Just a quick update regarding Vaugnity’s journey: two weeks ago, we filed our request for official recognition with the Belgian Federal Public Service of Justice.
We’re happy to share that our request has been formally accepted and is now awaiting the signature of King Filip. This is the final step in the process of establishing Vaugnity as a recognized public benefit foundation.
What this means
In Belgium, official recognition of a foundation like ours requires not just legal documentation and filing, but also approval by royal decree. That means once King Filip signs off on our request, we will be officially incorporated.
It’s symbolic, but also very real—this royal decree is what allows Vaugnity to fully operate in its intended legal form and pursue our mission with the full backing of the law.
Looking ahead
We are not officially incorporated yet, but everything is on track. If all goes as planned, we expect to receive confirmation of the royal signature in the coming weeks, which will mark the formal birth of Vaugnity.
Until then, we’re preparing everything behind the scenes so we can hit the ground running—finalizing documents, setting up operations, and getting ready to launch our first software company, which will be an important source of funding for the foundation.
