Last Saturday, May 17th, I celebrated my birthday with a small benefit party. Instead of presents for myself, I asked friends and family to donate to Vaugnity. It was a lovely gathering and a great success, with everyone excited to support the foundation.
Just a few days later, on Thursday, May 22nd, I received a letter from the Belgian government. Enclosed was the signed document from King Filip, giving us the green light to continue with Vaugnity’s incorporation. The funny thing is, the document was dated on the very day of the party—May 17th—so while we were officially announcing Vaugnity, the king was signing off on it.
I’ve now sent the required documents back to the notary, and they can proceed with the final steps. If all goes smoothly, the incorporation should be completed within the next two to three weeks.
Update 4/6/2025: it will take 4-8 weeks until the administration is finished.
